Professional Health Solutions, Inc. (“PHS”) is a nurse-owned small
business with a focus on providing solutions and services to meet the
health-related needs of individuals, families, communities, companies,
and public entities. PHS’s unique approach to business is in direct
alignment with traditional nursing values of service. We strongly
believe, and it has tested true, that the same skills refined over many
years of responding to those in need of health care are easily
transferable to customer service. PHS was conceived in February 2000
and operated primarily as a small group of contractor nurses providing
services in a variety of settings. In October 2000, PHS incorporated and
formalized its structure to better respond to the needs of its present
and future clients.
PHS’s close community ties and professional resources enables it to
link initiatives from public and private entities with communities
throughout Cities in the Mid-Atlantic region. PHS has extensive
experience in managing data collection instruments (surveys,
questionnaires, etc.), conducting focus groups, and engaging in
varying levels of community outreach campaigns in the Spanish,
Korean, Chinese, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, and African American
communities in Baltimore, New York, and Atlanta. PHS’s current and
past clients include Amerigroup Corporation, United Healthcare, Harris
Healthtrends, Transplant Resource Center of Maryland (“TRC”), The
Casey Foundation, Kennedy Krieger Research Institute, Johns Hopkins
Medical Center, Baltimore City Community College, University of
Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore City Government, and Harbor
